Zero

Zero is not a chatbot. A chatbot waits to be asked a question and returns a paragraph. Zero is built as a concierge — something that holds context about you, notices what you are actually trying to do, and takes the next step without being walked through it.

The difference shows up in ordinary use. Ask a chatbot to plan something and you get a plan as text. Ask Zero and the tasks, events and reminders land in your planner. Mention a car and the card that appears carries real imagery and real sources. Ask for a story and it is written, narrated in Zero’s own voice, illustrated, and saved as something you can open again. The reply is rarely the end of the interaction.

Seven, and they are genuinely different

Zero ships as seven personas. This is not a voice picker sitting on top of one personality — each has its own character, register, humour and pace, defined separately and rendered through its own synthesised voice. Choosing one changes how you are spoken to, not merely how it sounds.

  London

  The default, and the one most people stay with. Essex-raised and Chelsea-living, quick and warm, with a sing-song lilt that always sounds faintly amused. Fast on her feet and hard to faze.

  German-accented English with brisk engineering precision. Clipped, exact, full-voiced. Warm when pleased and firm when correcting you — the one to pick when you want the answer without the flourish.

  Oxford, by way of São Paulo

  Oxford English carried on Brazilian Portuguese rhythm — rising melodies, soft consonants, an audible smile. Playful, expressive and emotionally present, with the least formal register of the seven.

  Flat, dry and deadpan, at city pace. Crisp consonants, a light rolled r, comic timing that lives entirely in the pauses. Cool and a little tough, with the warmth kept well underneath.

  A deep Southern drawl with vowels stretched to the horizon. Small-town cadence, honeyed and unhurried, with a wild streak running under the sweetness.

  Noble bearing carried entirely in diction and poise — elevated, certain, faintly wicked. Authority that comes from precision rather than volume, delivered at ordinary talking speed.

  Northern Italian precision in excellent English. Poised and exact, the way a Milanese adviser briefs a client. Says noticeably less than the others and wastes none of it.

What sits underneath

Per-message triage

Every message is classified before it is answered, so a quick question is not made to wait behind machinery it does not need. Personality is never what gets trimmed.

Working memory

Zero keeps a factual memory of your notes, plans and gallery, summarised on a schedule and injected where relevant — separate from the conversation itself.

A real voice pipeline

Text is prepared, directed for delivery, synthesised in chunks that begin playing before the rest is ready, and finished through a broadcast mastering chain. Speaking is engineered, not bolted on.

Tools, used sparingly

Search, retrieval, document reading and generation are available to Zero, gated so they fire when they are genuinely needed rather than on every turn.

The Boardroom

Two advisers, Able and Harlow, who weigh in after Zero on decisions worth arguing about — a full exchange in two distinct voices, played as one conversation.

The intended feeling is not "I am using an AI feature". It is closer to an operating system with someone in it — a personal OS, where the assistant is the way you move through the thing rather than a panel you open on the side.
